HYGIENE FOR FOOD HANDLERS

Current food legislation requires all workers in a food environment to have adequate "skills and knowledge" for their tasks of employment. This course is aims to provide participants with these skills, and thereby ensure workplace compliance with current Food Legislation. Successful participants will receive a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment - 'Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures' SITXOHS002A from Hospitality training package SIT07 Cert III level.

In this course participants will gain the employment edge by learning fundamental bartending skills. Areas covered include, customer service, wine opening and service, draught beer pouring and mixed spirit delivery. Target Audience: Field Staff
This course provides training for staff who are required to set up and work with Traffic Control Plans (TCP's). Note this course does not qualify participants to select or modify existing TCP's. The pre-requisites for this course are: adequate literacy & NSW WorkCover Construction Induction Certificate or equivalent. This course will be presented by an RTA licensed Trainer.

Course Outcomes

Identify safety implications of traffic control at road works and personal responsibilities
Set up and Close down traffic control devices according to a nominated TCP, to OHS and legislative requirements
Operate a 2-way radio correctly and effectively
Check, clean and store equipment on completion of work and close down a TCP.
