This accredited Senior First Aid course is delivered in a flexible one-day format. Complete approx. 10 hours home study in a workbook, then attend a 1-day practical training and assessment session with a qualified tutor. Includes demonstration of AED "heart starter" processes. Certificate valid for three years. Jackie Jackson Accredited MHFA instructorThis award winning, nationally accredited program teaches adults how to provide initial support to adults experiencing a mental health crisis or developing a mental health illness. Participants will learn how to help in crisis situations such as: suicidal behaviours, acute stress reaction, panic attacks and psychotic behaviour. Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of mental health problems such as depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
