MEDICATIONS TRAINING

Complete two units from Certificate III in Aged Care (CHC30208): Recognise Healthy Body Systems in a Health Care Context HLTAP301A and Assist Clients with Medication CHCCS305A. You will learn the legal aspects, duty of care and practical skills to dispense medications.

DEMENTIA TRAINING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Chris Roberson Cert IV TAA, Cert IV Community Services- Aged Care/Disability
Gain a sound understanding and receive the most current information about Dementia and the role as a carer. You will complete the Nationally Accredited unit CHCAC416A 'Facilitate support responsive to the specific nature of dementia' from the Certificate IV in Aged care CHC40108 which covers the knowledge and skills required to provide support to clients with dementia in a variety of settings including family homes and residential care. This professional development course will suit those who are in a paid carer's role or are providing care to a family member.

SENIOR FIRST AID

This accredited Senior First Aid course is delivered in a flexible one-day format. Complete approx. 10 hours home study in a workbook, then attend a 1-day practical training and assessment session with a qualified tutor. Includes demonstration of AED "heart starter" processes. CPR UPDATE TRAINING

This is a refresher course (required to be completed on a yearly basis in some industries such as swimming and fitness instruction). Participants must have a current Senior First Aid certificate to attend. Receive a Statement of Attainment: HLTCPR201A Perform CPR.
